TOS JBOD implementation

Post by DigitalAnalog »

Hi - in JBOD pools created in TOS, does the loss of one drive result in the loss of data on all drives, or just the data on the failed drive?

You will lose all the data. Fact of life, I'm afraid.

Thanks. I guess if one was considering JBOD, they may as well go with RAID0 and at least get a performance boost in exchange for the risk, right?

Raid0 has never been something I would choose. I only use RAID for resilience. Speed? I'll take it as it comes :o
