Is it possible to install TOS OS on a external usb SSD?

I have tried to boot the NAS with only it connected but when i got to the ip address on the browser it says that there are no discs on the nas.

No. RAID & JBOD are only available through the internal connections.

Yes, what i mean is, use an external SSD as the disc only for the OS
then
2x HDD in raind internaly only for data
