Disk runtime/lifespan

How can I check the runtime/lifespan of a disk?

I bought two IronWolf 4TB disks, and I would like to verify if they are new. I am not sure because they emit a sound every 10-15 seconds, as if the head were moving.

You can go to TOS > Control Panel > Hard Drive > S.M.A.R.T, check "Power-Ond_Hours" to confirm the usage time of the hard drive.
You can also use the disk tools to check when you connect the disk to PC:

Thank you for your reply.

The problem is that there is no data in the S.M.A.R.T section (screenshots are attached).

My TNAS model is F2-223.
TOS version is 5.1.103-00409 (upgraded online).

I cannot connect the disk to my PC because I do not have the possibility to do so.

Any other ideas?

Please click on the last button on page S.M.A.R.T to open and view SMART information of the disks.
