Since upgrading to TOS 5.1, I am unable to connect to TOS over a secure connection using https.
Even manually typing https:// followed by the host address in my URL bar, the connection fails to open and after the usual browser warning screen I can connect only using http.

I've tried various options in the control panel to no avail.

I've also found that the TNAS is much less stable and regularly hangs after a few hours of inactivity. I will post about this separately.

This is a common issue in using HTTPS access within a local area network. Because the certificate cannot be authenticated within the local area network.
Regarding the pending issue you mentioned, you can observe it for a period of time through "TOS Control Panel Resource Monitoring" or background monitoring.
