We have observed persistent installation failures with the FW233 version of the WD HC550 series hard drives when used on TNAS. However, it's worth noting that the FW680 version does not encounter such problems. To ensure a smooth installation process, we recommend opting for other compatible models or selecting the FW680 version of the WD HC550 series hard drives.
