Can't access F4-210 or F2-423

I have two TerraMaster NAS systems.
Primary: F2-423 running TOS version: TOS_X642.0_5.1.29
Backup: F4-210 running TOS version: 4.2.41-2203011629
Primary NAS: 5.1.29
Everything was working fine. Listening to streaming music on the primary. Watching plex. SMB/NFS Access.
I had trouble logging in to update the software to 5.1.40.
None of my accounts were available (admin, superuser, personal)
I thought it might be due to some power outages we've recently had, so I did a power button shutdown and restart to do it more gracefully.
It still didn't work so I came here to see what was new. Then I saw all the posts about ransomware. After researching that, it doesn't look like that same problem. But the system is currently shut down to be safe. When I did boot it back up it wasn't accessible.
Backup NAS: 4.2.41
After my primary system was hosed, I wanted to make sure that my backup was safe.
Its not.
I was greeted by the installation wizard, and got an email with a new verification code.
They are both currently powered down in case its some type of ransomware attack. This happened about a week after I opened up port forwarding to my plex server on my primary NAS so that I could access media remotely.
I don't know what to do next.
