cant upgrade from 4.2.40

cant upgrade from 4.2.40

I have a TNAS Model F2-221 on 4.2.40-2203011626
I cannot update to 5.X.
If I do online update it just spins..
For manual update, I downloaded TOS_X642.0_Update_5.0.176_00227_2210111430.BZ2. It runs for a long time -says unzipping, then eventually reboots and is still on 4.2.

4.2.40 cannot be upgraded to 5.X by updating, only to reinstall the system, and in order to prevent data loss, please back up the data in time.
