I had to enable read/write access in user , edit, permission.

I know some people may think this is too late but Snapshot was absolutely amazing. One click and it restored my files in about 3 seconds. As if nothing happened! Thanks Snapshot.

May I know why you need to reinstall your system?

Does Snapshot work under ext4 or only BTRFS?

BTRFS only.

I am looking at reformatting one of may RAID arrays, from EXT4 to BTRFS, so that I can use the Snapshot app.
The hassle is copying all the data back on to the array.

I installed snapshot onto my ext4 system but it did give the BTRFS warning on startup. I might wait until TOS 5 to change back onto BTRFS. In the meantime, I've hardened my network and keep the TMs backed up and completely off the Internet.

Hi,
I've got a ransomware attack today, I'm following Method 2 of the guide as TOS was not working anymore. When I click on "login" I get an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error and cannot progress. I have an F2-210, I think TNOS version was 4.2.15 but I am not 100% sure and cannot check anymore.
Can you please help?

Follow the method 2 of the guide to reinstall the TOS 4.2.30, and then refer to the article to improve your TNAS security.

I reinstalled TOS after a ransomware attack. As recommended, I created an admin account with another name. Now several apps do not install. I tried to create the admin account but it tells me that the account already exists but.... I don't see it. Can I access system folders? probably in the hidden account there are still iFire files.......
