SMB: different file counting between volume and USB

Post by Aliosy »

Hello TerraMaster Team :)

I noticed an error in the file count and would like report it.
- my NAS is the F5-422 with TOS 5.0.158-00205
- both external USB HDDs use ext4 file sytem
- internal volume uses btrfs as the file system

In Windows the number of files between USB(1/2) and volume is not counted correctly because not all files can be accessed via USB. Please see the differences between 3 identical folders.
download/file.php?mode=view&id=2026

The same fodlers compared with the TOS file manager:
- Volume
download/file.php?mode=view&id=2024
- USB
download/file.php?mode=view&id=2025

As you can see, the number of files is identical in TOS, but not in Windows.

Here is the reason why the number of files is different, the hidden files are not shown for the USB drive:
download/file.php?mode=view&id=2023

Another problem in the file manager window is the duplicated recycle bin, it is shown twice, but only for USB:
download/file.php?mode=view&id=2022

I say thank you for the efforts ;)
Greetings

Hi, thank you for your feedback, we have not calculated some special files, and other display problems will be verified and optimized.
