I was hoping to use Wireguard via docker-compose in TNAS5 however it looks like the OS runs Kernel 4.19.

Code: Select all

Uname info: Linux 3da16df88273 4.19.165+ #411 SMP Wed Jun 15 17:11:21 CST 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not supported

**** The wireguard module is not active, will attempt kernel header install and module compilation. If you believe that your kernel should have wireguard support already, make sure that it is activated via modprobe! ****

**** Kernel headers don't seem to be available in Ubuntu, Debian and Raspbian repos, or shared from the host; therefore can't compile the module. Sleeping now. . . ****
Is there a roadmap for moving to a newer kernel?

There are many many fixes and enhancements which are not a part of this kernel version.

Changing kernel is a big work. we may have plan to implement kernel 5.10 in TOS 5.1, but you need to wait for a while.

If you compile a new kernel, then with udf/cdrom function. It's need to mount Video ISO's files.
