I'm experiencing something very similar to what was in this thread.
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2043
I've emailed [email protected] twice now and haven't received a response at all. Not even a confirmation that my email was received.
I have a TerraMaster NAS used in a VMware environment via iSCSI.
Today one of the iSCSI targets seems to have lost its LUN. See below with the first IQN, and no LUN assigned.
This target was associated with the RAID 1 volume in Storage 1.
I am unable to get the iSCSI target associated with Storage #1.
I have attempted making a new iSCSI target and pointing it to Storage #1, but that isn't available. Only Storage #2 is available.
One of the questions asked in the thread I linked above was what was done previously on the NAS before this happened. In my case, I had two 500GB drives in bays 3 and 4 set up as a RAID 1 assigned to Storage #2. These were not in use so I deleted Storage #2, removed the drives and added in two replacement 2TB drives pulled from an HPe server. I created another RAID 1 with drives 3 and 4 and then created a iSCSI target of that volume and presented it to my VMware ESXi hosts. That is working fine.
I was also working with installing a new UPS for this NAS and was powering down and turning on the system a few times after this when connected to the new UPS. On one of those power cycles is when Storage #1 LUN disappeared from the ISCSI target.
You are welcome to do a remote connection if you want.
Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
First of all, you are sending your email to a wrong address. you can find the correct one from my signature.
Please make sure your LUN is not running out of space, or to protect your data, this LUN could be ejected from your target.
Please make sure you are connecting a compatible UPS to your TNAS, if your UPS send a wrong instruction to TNAS, that may lead to your TNAS operate improperly.

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
Thanks for the response. I had typed the email in the forum message incorrectly. I had been using the correct email, and was replied to last night. My message was in their spam.
As far as seeing remaining disk space, I cannot. I have lost visibility to the LUN.
And yes, a good UPS is in use now. PureSine from an APC Smart-UPS 1500VA

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
I found screen captures of how it was when it was working.
This one shows the LUN listed in the iSCSI target: This one shows the usage capacity of the storage:

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
This is a very old version. Since we have stopped maintaining systems below 4.x, it is recommended that you update to the latest version.
please follow the instruction to update your system.

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
I have a scheduled work session with tech support on Sunday for them to remotely connect. Should I upgrade first before the session or just wait for the session?
This is the reason I haven't updated the OS on it.

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
When the service team books a remote session, they may forget to ask you about the TOS version. you better update your TOS before a remote session. i guess the issue can be resolved by a system update.

Re: Assistance with iSCSI target losing its LUN
I found what appeared to be the upgrade path from 3.1.10...
3.1.15 (issue persisted)
4.0.09 (issue persisted)
While waiting I also found this page:
viewtopic.php?f=76&t=1064
In it it is described this:
For X86 models:
3.1.15 -> 4.0.09 -> 4.1.18 -> 4.1.27 -> 4.1.31 -> 4.2.x
However, the link to 4.1.18 doesn't work. Also, that link isn't in the download page here http://download.terra-master.com/downlo ... en&tid=752
Here is the link.
http://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_S2.0_ ... 03_294.bz2
In the thread, TMRyan wrote "You need to follow the steps we wrote. You can't jump from 4.1.03 to 4.1.27 without going through 4.1.21, because you need to upgrade a small system on a small U disk on the TNAS motherboard."
So that says 4.1.21 (not 4.1.18) is needed. But there isn't a link for 4.1.21 either.
So, I can't find 4.1.18 to download, so I'm going to stop now at 4.0.09.
