Thank you all updated, no problems so far
Only slight criticism as always is the lack of knowing there is an update, I would imagine the majority of owners don’t read the forum, they buy, use and forget about it, people only tend to use a forum like this if they have problems
So a way for you to alert a user there is an update would be good, either by automated email or flashing a light on the front of the unit to say there is a notification to prompt someone to go and look

Thanks
After the upgrade, the FTP port was reset to "default" 21! If you don't use it, disable it or change it.

Update took about 5min and changed:
RSYNC user back to rsync from previously set username.
SMB ON from previous OFF state.
DNS changed to DNS 1: 8.8.8.8, DNS 2: blank from previous static settings in both fields.
Other than that, it is up and running and can be rebooted without boot loops or long wait times before it is ready "at this time". Now I will shut it down and see if it still follows the Power On/Off Schedule I've set previous.

Does this require someone to login? After all majority of people will set up a nas drive and then never log back into the desktop and just access the shares via a windows computer so would still be none the wiser that an update exists

Wouldn't the option of being put on an email mailing list be possible when a new verion TOS is released? We check our emails daily and we could sign up or not sign up to such alerts. Just a thought...sianderson wrote: ↑23 Jan 2022, 03:57Does this require someone to login?
