Backup user directory?

Given the increase and frequency of recent attacks/ransomware, I'm trying to setup a cloud sync service to backup my data in the event that my device becomes compromised. I've installed and configured multiple different backup services - Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Amazon S3, etc. but they all seem limited to only backup up shared/public directories. Is there not a way to backup a user directory? Surely if there is not, this can be added in an update that would allow user directories to be included in cloud backup services/applications?

It's really "funny" you can't sync an user folder. That's why I bought Terramaster!!!
I hope they correct this sooner than later.
