Single Disk Setup
Single Disk Setup
So this is absolutely ridiculous. All I want is for my 5 disks to be a single drive pool. I do not need RAID at this time, since I have more Plex Storage than I can use on a RAID. Second, I did not EVER see the "Manual Setup" lie to set this up. My TerraMaster F4-221 never gave me this during the initial setup and just lumped everything together in RAID 6. So I went from 32TB to 8TB. So I guess now I have to sit here for 10 hours and wait for volume 1 to synchronize, and then delete and set up a single disk??? Because I am getting sick and tired of this, someone tell me what is going on, how to set this right, before I return this!!! Or send it to my friend's Demo company to blow it up!
Re: Single Disk Setup
Hi,
Maybe try this:
After Tos instalation --> control panel-->pool storage--> and create jbod.

Re: Single Disk Setup
Right now I cant delete this storage pool #1, it is stuck Synchronizing, it is telling me you need to delete all the volumes it contains. I go to Volumes and delete it there, and after about an hour or so, should I create a new storage pool first or volumes?

So I deleted it and it brought back storage pool #1 ON ITS OWN and it is RAID 6 and it is picking up right where it left off Synchronizing.
Re: Single Disk Setup
I'm guessing that I have to let this Storage Pool #1 run and Synch. As it stands I cannot create, edit or delete anything without this headache coming back. If I call the Psychic Hotline I am sure that they are going to tell me that this is a natural part of the process and once this is done you can then Edit and change the RAID type, because the instructions in the start guild are sure as hell are not saying anything about this. Well, technically they are still saying you can use a manual setup to set up the JBOD.
Re: Single Disk Setup
Finally got something! I was not getting the create volume/storage pool during the initial setup. Had to delete the volume, then quickly delete the storage pool. if not it would start the Synchronization process back up right where it was last at.
