F2-210 Consistently Beeps

Post by linden_wade »

Hi all,

I recently purchased a F2-210 along with x2 Seagate Iron Wolf Drives (ST4000VN008) which are on the recommended list.

I've booted the unit up and started the process to initialise the device. It installs the software OK and then proceeds to reboot after the install. Once it boots back up, the F2-210 consistently beeps the high pitch tone.

Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

Thanks

The beep means one of your drives was lost from your RAID configuration. Did you set any RAID with your two drives?
please try log in to your TOS, and check which drive is lost, then try to reboot again. if this drive keeps losing from the reboot, then it may be not healthy, you need to try to replace it with a new one.

I’ve not even got to the RAID setup yet.

I started the initialisation process and it does the checks on both drives and reports that they’re “Good”. It then proceeds to install the 4.2.17 installation package.

After the install, it reboots itself and then consistently beeps. All lights on the front of the unit are green and both hard drives are brand new and from the recommended list.

Hi,
You need to check whether the hard disk is inserted tightly. You can turn off the buzzer on the TOS desktop after logging in to the system.

After logging in to TOS, you need to check whether the storage pool status in your control panel is displayed well. If the display is missing, you need to edit it and select repair. Wait for the repair to complete before restarting or performing other operations.
