Can you upgrade from F4-210 to F4-422 without formatting drives

Post by petera209 »

I purchased the F4-210 a few months back and haven't been incredibly impressed with performance when using Plex or Emby. I have decided to buy the newer f4-422 as it has a better rating for media servers and I was wondering if I will be able to pop my F4-210 drives into it without formatting them. Can someone please help?

NO. The HDDs installed in F4-210 could not be used directly in F4-422 without formatting. They will be formatted when installed and initialized in F4-422.
F4-210 and F4-422 are of the different hardware and system.
