Good Morning,
I am trying to figure out if I can use an SSD for write optimization via SSD caches.
I have 1 X 8Tb HDD and 1X 125Gb SSD in a raid-0 storage pool.
The hope is I can use the SSD for write optimization for the 3 X EXT-4 volumes in my storage pool.
I am wondering if I am going the right way to achieve this?
Many thinks in advance
Matt.
SSD caches
Re: SSD caches
Hi, Matt.
Yes, you can do that.
After you insert the SSD, you can select the SSD cache partition under the "Volume" edit option.

Re: SSD caches
Hi Tim,
Thank you for your reply. Does the SSD need be part of the volume pool or does it sit outside of the created storage?
Apologies for the noob questions my Terramaster is 1 week old.
Kind Regards,
Matt.

Re: SSD caches
When used as a cache, SSD does not become part of the volume pool and is not used as storage.
