F4-220 - Internet disconnected, SMB and DLNA stop working
F4-220 - Internet disconnected, SMB and DLNA stop working
I have this problem on F4-220 on TOS 4.2.07-2012241608 where the Internet gets disconnected. I can access the mapped drives just fine on my local network. I can also remotely login, but I cannot access SMB and DLNA file systems until I manually reset the Network connection by pressing "apply" button in Control Panel > Network > Network Interfcae > LAN 1 > Edit > Apply. After that, the Internet gets connected and everything works for some time, but then I get the Internet disconnected again and SMB/DLNA doesn't work anymore. I also had this problem on previous version of TOS. I believe it was 4.1.something. Before that, I never had this problem.

At this point it still works. So no need, but I will upload when it gets disconnected.

Ok
Even if you don’t have internet connection, you can still use SMB and DLNA, but you need to use a network cable to connect the TNAS to the computer, and then check the new TNAS IP on the TNAS PC, use it for SMB access.
And use Windows Media Player to access for TNAS files, the DLNA server must be enabled when TNAS has a network.
