I have added a proxy server setting on the 210 but my IP as shown on the summary popup on tnas desktop shows my normal ISP Ip address.

How can I tell if the 210 has correctly connected via the proxy?

Please SSH access your TNAS as root, and use the cmd line traceroute to check whether the IP address of the proxy server is passed.

Traceroute just hops directly to router address and ISP ip etc no Proxy. The proxy settings are pictured..

The proxy server for the HTTP proxy is probably impossible to test.

Ok, so I tested by adding a test torrent in Transmission which leaked my ISP IP address. How do I set this proxy to work properly, if it can?

Please let me know if there's anything further I can do, does the proxy feature work on this box at all? If not I should probably return it

You can use the following command to check whether the connection is correct after opening the proxy,
Command: ter_wget www.baidu.com
If your proxy server is displayed at position 2 in the figure below, it means you have successfully connected.

it has shown that the connection is successful but no response is received.
You can change other websites you can use and try, for example: ter_wget www.google.com

google is same. If its reporting successful how come a test torrent in transmission reports my ISP address?
