Hi,
Need some help upgrading drives my F4-210
Currently have 4 x 2TB drives set up as a single RAID pool with 3 drives available for data and 1 used for redundancy, but am running short of space.
I have searched the forums to see how I upgrade the drives and not managed to get a good answer.
Ideally I'd like to have one pool of 3x 4TB drives raided for data with single drive failure redundancy and a second pool of the 4th 4TB drive for film/music without redundancy (backed up elsewhere).
Thanks for help
John

Is your RAID raid5 or raid6, and whether you want to upgrade to a larger raid5 or raid6?

Hi TMS,
It's Raid 5, would want to move (ideally) to 2 storage pools a 3 x 4TB disk Raid 5 plus 1 x 4TB disk non-raid

Raid5 cannot reduce the number of disks. If you want to do this, you can only back up and rebuild the array.
