TOS 7.0.1078 Beta (ARM) is Released for Update

Target Users:
Users currently running TOS 7.0.0500 beta or later versions.

Applicable Models:
F2-211, F2-212, F4-212

Note:
If your TOS version is prior to TOS 7, you can directly refer to the TOS 7 update method in this announcement.

Update Notes
Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed certain issues in File Managemer.
2. Fixed certain issues in Storage Managemer.
3. Fixed certain issues in App Center.
4. Fixed certain issues in Network Services.
5. Fixed certain issues in General Settings.
6. Fixed various other known issues.

Important Information:
1.Updating the system theoretically will not affect the data on your hard drives, but for safety, please make sure to back up your data in advance.
2.Before updating, ensure that your primary volume (usually volume1) has at least 3GB of available space. Insufficient storage space may cause the update to fail.
3.After the update, the IP address of your TNAS may change. Please use the TNAS PC desktop client to search for and reconnect to the device.

Update Procedure:
1.Go to TOS > Control Panel > General Settings > System > Update, and click "Check for updates."
2.Follow the prompts to update the system.
3.After the system update is complete, you may need to refresh your browser.
4.The TNAS IP address may change after the update. If you cannot connect to your TNAS using the previous IP address, use the TNAS PC client to search for the new IP address.

Would/Could any of these be returning to future TOS 7 ARM builds?

Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, the apps you mentioned are no longer available — and that includes any future ARM versions. Things might evolve later on, but for now and the foreseeable future, it's not going to happen.

Does TOS 7 for armv8 support apps for TOS 5.1, created by community, e.g. jellyfin?

There are differences in the app specifications for the new version, so it may not work as expected. We recommend waiting for update from the community app developers.

you cant blame me for living in hope :) to be fair its now a 6 year old NAS that is a ronseal product so i cant complain really
