[Help] Can I mix SSD and HDD in traid?

Hello, as the topic says, can I mix SSD with HDD in traid? I currently have 2x4tb and 2x12tb on a 6bay t6. I need to expand (currently 20tb total in traid) but I'm also thinking about the future as the HDDs produce too much noise and I work on same room as the NAS sits, I'm thinking on moving in the future to an all SSD case. I don't mind the speeds being limited to the slowest drive (in this case the HDDs).

So can I add 2x4tb sata SSD to the existing traid volume?

Yes you can mix SSD and HDD in TRAID

Just need to ensure the new disk’s capacity is equal to or larger than the smallest disk in the array, only one disk can be added at a time; adding multiple disks simultaneously is not supported.

I did search and the only real downside that i can see is matching speeds to the slowest drive. Speed is not a concern, since current hdd speeds are fine for what i use it for and my main motivation to change is because i want less noise. It has become distracting to work in the same room.

Unless there are other reasons to avoid?

Other risks are primarily compatibility and stability issues that may arise from the differences between SSDs and HDDs, such as parity write amplification, unrecoverable read errors, and the write hole.
