F6-424 Max - Adding Crucial CT8G48C40S5 alongside stock TerraMaster module?

Hi everyone,

I have a TerraMaster F6-424 Max with the stock 8GB DDR5 SO-DIMM module (TerraMaster A-SRAMD5-8G, 4800MHz) and I'd like to add a second 8GB module to enable dual-channel, without replacing the existing one.

I'm considering the Crucial CT8G48C40S5 (DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM, CL40, non-ECC) as the second module, since it matches the same type, frequency, and timing as the stock module (and the terramaster A-SRAMD5-8g is out of stock everywhere ).

Has anyone here successfully run a Crucial module alongside the original TerraMaster-branded module on the F6-424 Max (or a similar DDR5 model)? I've seen reports on other TerraMaster models of boot issues when mixing brands, so I wanted to check if anyone has real-world experience with this specific combination before I buy.

I have never had problems with Crucial memory on Tnas, but I never tried DDR5. If you can get it I would say try it. If it's a reasonable price it will be an appreciating asset, for a while at least.

For those interested, since the terramaster ram are out stock everywhere, this module runs in dual channel with the stock RAM.
