[Help] F6-424Max missing storage/volumes/file manager etc

Post by fallenazazel »

So I have been running TOS6 happily (yes so why did I update, slow day..) and updated manually to 7.0 using the TOS_X642.0_Update_7.0.0747_1247_2606171225 update file. System has been doing its thing, I logged in to see the UI of 7 so that was good. Went to run File Manager and get a window with "404 Not Found \n nginx/1.18.0(Ubuntu) message. I went to look in control panel to see my volumes and storage, both options not there, missing. When I first logged in it asked for manual / automatic permissions change, I did automatic. When I click on Storage Manager from the toolbar I get a load of red error messages flashing quick (that for some reason cant be read in notifications, frustrating), but "Failed to Retrieve Data" , I click on Volume and get the same error. and so on for all options in Storage Manager. Docker Manager failed to start properly. (docker commands not found when running in terminal)
I can use the terminal and cd into my volumes so they are there.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Did you wait for auto permissions update to finish? You should see a system message in the desktop.

Otherwise I might be inclined to reboot. The "Failed to retrieve" error was quite common in earlier Beta and a reboot never hurt. The official release .0466/.0477 May have retained a sprinkling since I noticed one myself on update. {Subsequently reported as resolved in later update version}.

Did you observe the warning about possible errors relating to damaged storage:
3. After updating, in addition to storage pools and volumes in normal use, Storage Manager may display several damaged storage pools and volumes caused by abnormal operations in TOS 6, such as directly removing disks. If you confirm they are no longer used, you can delete them directly.

thanks Gremlin for the advice. There was nothing saying a reboot was required, all processes had finished, but no message in the desktop. I did reboot and it worked so phew thanks for the advice.
