[Help] TOS 7 upgrade and SPC user homes issue
Posted: 29 Jun 2026, 20:51
Hi,
my configuration is Volume1 (singled SSD for OS) and Volume2 (RAID for data).
On T0S6 I was able to install the OS on SSD and the users on RAID.
After I (finally) upgraded to TOS7 .750 it was necessary to recreate all users configuration which I did it, without loosing any data all users linked correctly to their previous homes on /Volume2/homes. So in Volume2/homes I have ./user1, ./user2, ...
Now I decided as recommended to enable SPC and after boot, my admin users will be linked to /Volume1/home (not homes anymore and neither Volume2) but I loose any document relations stored in the /Volume2/homes/ .
So PHOTO, TERRASYNC, .. not working, and MEDIA indexing still show as private directory /homes/riccardo/Photos, which differs from PHOTO which now includes /home/riccardo/Photos.
Additionally, all other users are not linked anymore to their data and If I create a new for test it will be under /Volume1/home. (not homes).
It seems that SPC disable the "homes" approach. Is it possible that during the SPC enablement, went missing some mount configurations?
Is there a way to restore the previous configuration?
Thanks
