Since the update to 7.0.0567 I have experienced 2 complete shutdowns, where the system became totally unresponsive. Only a power cycle worked to reboot the system (a F4-424 Pro).

Please advise on how to troubleshoot.

Please check if your pictures or videos are actually stored on iCloud. For images/videos actually stored on iCloud, please download and keep the original footage on your iPhone.
For situations where a small number of photos get stuck, you can try skipping them.
If the problem persists after investigating the above situation, please collect the system and send it to the technical support email for troubleshooting,

If the system becomes completely unresponsive, we recommend enabling Debug mode(Support and Help > Debug). When the issue occurs again, download the debug logs (3 files) after the next startup. Then, go to Support and Help > Report Issues to generate a system report.
Send all four files to the technical support email so we can investigate the issue.
If the files are too large, we recommend sending them via a share link.

System log seems to ignore 'summer time'.
My time zone is GMT so currently we are effectively on GMT+1. The settings should be shown in the first image.
The NAS is set to turn on at 00:20 and turn off at 02:30 as shown in the second image.
The bottom entry in the log in the third image shows the NAS as turning on at 23:20 on the previous day. (There's also no log entry for the scheduled shut-down.)

Is this correct?

Dear TM Team,
I am digging around to find what filesystem compression is used in TOS 7. Btrfs features show compress_zstd and compress_lzo. While the Storage Manager just shows four different levels there's no mention of the compression type.
Thank you for your help.

Hi all,
does anyone is having issues with connecting to SMB Shares? My UNRAID Server can connect to the Backup SMB Shares, as well as to the TerraMaster SMB.

Regarding the time zone issue, I will report it to the product team for further verification.

Could you describe the SMB file sharing issue in more detail?

Hey, thanks for your reply.

i am using an SMB Share on a Unifi NAS as a Backup Drive. With my Unraid NAS I can connect to the Unifi SMB Share. When I use want to connect to it with the TerraMaster NAS, I just get an error like Operation failed.

Both, the Unraid and the TerraMaster NAS are on the same VLAN and can ping the Unifi NAS. What is working to access a share on the TerraMaster NAS from the Unraid NAS.

So I used the Unraid NAS as a kind of a middle man to copy files from the Unifi Share through the Unraid NAS to the TerraMaster Share.
I hope this makes sense

It appears to be a compatibility issue between different devices. If you need further investigation, please find the online customer service link in the bottom right corner of the official website to schedule a remote consultation.
