Can't say I noticed. Updated to 6.0.519 today and telnet is working fine with no intervention.
.519?? Only see .512 Did it get pulled already?
Ah it must be for the F2-424 only.

Shortly after previously pushing the 6.0.519 update, we discovered a slow download speed issue and temporarily canceled the update push.
When the download speed issue is resolved, we will re-push 6.0.519 and post it to the forums.
Gremlin should have happened to click on the update during that short period of time.

I can confirm serious issues with the TCP/IP stack in the latest version of TOS6 (512) on my F8SSD+. In addition to the SSH and uPnP bug already reported to support, the system is clearly unstable overall.
I've made several attempts to load large databases into MariaDB (official package), and after a few hours of operation, the result is a total freeze of the TCP/IP stack. While the MariaDB loading process continues, access to the NAS becomes impossible. The only way to regain control is to force a shutdown by pressing the power button, which results in losing all the work done.
I understand this is a beta version, but I believe it’s far from achieving minimum stability. It should be classified as an alpha version. The problem is that TM is selling and marketing NAS units that only support this version of TOS.

I'm having issues with media, I got the F8 SSD for 4K editing which was being done previously on an F5-422.. it's slower on the F8 SSD - same with loading photos. Put TrueNAS Scale on and the issues go away. I've put in a report and they are saying there's an issue with SAMBA.. Hopefully this is the issue they are fixing now. I tend to agree with you this doesn't even feel like a beta release which it shouldn't be as they are selling the F8s with this TOS and you can't run TOS 5, shame, it's stable for me.

I agree with you. The problem is that we can't install any other version of TOS.
At first, I thought it was a typical beta phase error, and I reported the symptoms of enabling/disabling SSH access and its relation to having uPnP enabled or not (if it’s disabled, the bug is "fixed").
However, after conducting more real load tests, I realized that the problem is much deeper and affects the entire TCP/IP stack. Something that shouldn't happen in a beta phase.
It's a shame we have to resort to alternative systems to manage these devices. After all, we "pay" for TOS when buying the NAS.

Tos6 has not been 'Beta' since the official release 6.0.500.
Linux is 'free'.
