You can flash the USB boot drive using the USB Initboot Image (TOS 6 Legacy 126MB), then insert the USB drive, remove all other disks, and proceed with a
fresh installation of the TOS 6 system.
If you encounter any task errors during the reinstallation process, please take a screenshot and send it to us so we can quickly identify the issue.
I do not want to install
FRESH TOS6, I want to
UPDATE existing 6.0.229!
Frankly speaking, whether you are reinitializing to the new version of TOS6 or upgrading from version 6.0.229 to the new version of TOS6, you will need to reset your system configuration. This is because the update involves a completely new root file system and is a major update. Thank you for your understanding.

Is it usable on F4-421? I've MAPL0303V21 bios and latest 5.1 TOS.
Thanks!

The current BIOS version and TOS version of your device both support upgrading to TOS version 6.0.530.

I confirm, just updated. In the first page of this topic, the F4-421 is missing in the list of compatible hardware, I think is an error then.

It has been corrected, sorry for the inconvenience caused by this omission.

Hi all.
I've not been able to recover the second network interface, there is no way for TOS 6 to detect it. Rest of features seems to work fine and the device runs quite fast.
As far as the V22 BIOS seemed not being really compatible with my hardware, I've asked TM Support Team for a former BIOS, compatible and (if possible) TOS 6 capable. Unfortunately, they are not able to provide older BIOS.
So, the only option I have is to run the NAS with only one interface (not very serious, but a bit annoying).
As a conclusion, one recommendation for everyone: if you try to update, and at the beggining of the flash process you get a message like
"your EEPROM is not big enough to copy the whole BIOS; some parts won't be copied", I think you should cancel just to avoid getting a "partial disabled" device.

Thank goodness my F4-421 can still be updated to TOS 6! I honestly wasn’t sure if it’d get the upgrade, but it’s awesome to see that it’s supported. Really excited to check out the new features and improvements. Looks like it’s gonna be a game changer for my setup

I updated my Terramaster F4-423, upgrading the firmware from TOS 6.0.229 to TOS 6.0.530. After the update, the system reports that the TRAID Volume is damaged, but the drives appear to be fine. I can't access my data.
I contacted support, and they suggested following this guide to reinstall the system:
viewtopic.php?t=423
I followed the procedure, but the problem remains.
Support keeps telling me to create a backup, but they haven't explained how to do it in this situation. I have asked multiple times for clarification, but after two weeks, I still haven’t received a useful response.
Can you help me?

Hi.
We noticed your question early here:
viewtopic.php?p=41588#p41588
You have posted your questions in three different threads, but don't seem to have any intention of communicating with us in depth about the issues.
Is it because the information we provide is insufficient or too complex?
Please generate and download the log report package and send to support(at)terra-master.com for inspection. It is in TOS > Technical Support > Report Issues.
This may allows us to better and faster judge the problem and come up with a solution.
