Hi.
Which forum user's question are you referring to? It is recommended that you open a separate topic to describe the problem, and reference that user's post on the forum via URL.

Gracias

This may indicate a system malfunction. If you have been using TOS4, resetting TOS4 will not affect the data partition. Please refer to the content on the first page for details.
If you are currently using TOS5 or a later version, or have used TOS5 or a later version before, please pay attention to the 'Delete/Format. Create' prompt. Its appearance means the HDD will be formatted, so please stop the operation.

I need some help here. I had to use method B to reinstall my TOS as it was corrupted. I was unable to make a backup of my config as the control panel was unavailable. The install went fine and I'm back to accessing the NAS, but I do not see a number of Files and folders. I believe the data is still there as TOS shows the drives at 47% full, but I'm unable to find the folders.

Model: F2-210
TOS: 4.2.44

My previous version of TOS was 4.0.23 i believe.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

Please go to Control Panel - Shared Folders to edit permissions so that they are displayed in File Manager. If you cannot see the shared folder you want, restore the corresponding Volume's shared folder in Advanced Settings. If you reset and used a different username and your data was in a personal directory from a previous time, you can find them in File Manager - Personal Directories - User (upper level).

Good afternoon! At the end of 2025, I bought an f2-423 on AliExpress. I received it the other day, but it only worked for one night. In the morning, I noticed the NAS was offline. I tried turning it on, but when it turns on, it turns itself off after 10-15 seconds. Then, after 2-3 seconds, it turns back on again - and so on. If I hold down the RESET button (for 5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds) and press the Power button, the NAS stops turning off, but the LAN port doesn't light up or come on, no matter how long I wait. The Power button also stops responding to short or long presses. There are no beeps during boot either. I tried removing the drives, trying different drives (I have a WD Red Plus), trying a different power adapter with the same specifications, and trying to flash a new bootloader for my model (I got the images from the official forum and burned them using balena etcher to different flash drives) - the NAS's behavior remains unchanged. I followed the instructions on the official forum exactly. I tried removing the BIOS battery for more than 30 minutes, I moved the RAM to a different port, and I also tried connecting the NAS to a monitor via HDMI. Unfortunately, the screen remained black (apparently, it didn't even get to the BIOS loading stage).
Maybe you could suggest something else to try? Updating the BIOS? Or something else?

Hi. Good day.
I have replied to you via private message with the same answer to the question you asked in private. Please check for hardware or power supply issues. If it still doesn't work, please contact the AliExpress backend to explain the situation.

I contacted Aliexpress. They simply refunded my money. They didn't take the device back; I kept it. I'd like to try to get it repaired.

Hello! I received a partial refund. I received a reply the seller has no intention of taking it back... So I decided to repair it myself.
