as I understand it, is this release only for those who have tested the beta version? will there be a later release of version 6 to update from TOS 5.1.145?

Hi
It seems that you have removed the download link for TOS 6.0.500
in any case I'm at version TOS 6.0.229 and it seems that the way forward is only through TOS 6.0.420 which is not exsists as well
Am I stuck for ever with TOS 6.0.229 ?
Will I need to make clean installation once an advance release will be available ?
Why you are not keeping the version history in order that users will be able to upgrade as needed ?
regards
Yinnon
I downloaded 6.0.42 but trying to update from 6.0.229 fails every time. I've tried uploading from my windows machine and placing the update on the NAS itself, fails either way. Not sure what else to try.

Don't try anything except maybe read the posts prior to yours asking you to wait patiently.
Updating from .229 is not trivial. Apart from re-writing the file system(s), the USB flash drive gets over-written so that it cannot be used to install lower versions should you wish to go back. Several things were/are wrong with the .420 and subsequent Beta releases. @TM have done you a favour in holding you at 'less risky' level, despite the, seemingly inevitable, lemming-like* desire of some users to update at all costs.

I know, it is a bad analogy, but I'm sure people will get the drift.

So how does one install TOS 6.0.500?
I have a new TERRAMASTER F4-424 Pro.
Is the procedure to simply jank provided mini USB from the board, burn ISO onto new one, put that one in and boot with it?

After updating to 500 Jellyfin constantely loosing all the permissions for the media. This is very annoying, since the database has to recreate everytime.
Plus: TFM Backup cannot send to the desktop.

Interesting didn't know the flash drive got overwritten with the later updates, there used to be a file on here somewhere so you could reenstate the original boot I used it when I went over to Truenas and back, LOL on the lemming update.

We recommend upgrading to TOS version 6.0.507, as this version has resolved the permission issue and, to our knowledge, the problem you mentioned regarding unsuccessful TFM sending does not exist in it.
