But I suppose the problem remains with TOS 7. This is why I want to contact the hotline
In TOS7 the interface is modified so that only the 'server' IP is entered initially with credentials and then, in a subsequent dialogue the user can select the appropriate path(s) via a browse style selection (if needed).

That’s great to hear!
I’ll share the solution on Monday. :-)

Here’s the thing: I can mount my remove directory on many Macs.
However, with TOS 6, it only works with the Unix shell and not the user interface.

In SMB Advanced dialog, I enabled the journal/log, but the SMB log stays empty (to be seen in the Journal dialog) . (Maybe it only works when TOS is the SMB server and not the SMB client.)

So the engineers tried to find the error.
After 2 hours of research they may have something: it is definitely a bug.
They will internally try to reproduce the problem then update some executables (ie. smbclient) .
They will contact me again and we will try a patch together

I am having the same problem. When I mount a remote folder from my Netgear ReadyNAS, nothing appears. I found I have to mount the root folder and then modify it to a subfolder manually to get it to work. The problem with that workaround is the root folder remains connected until the NAS (F2-425) is rebooted, but doesn't show up in remote folders.

I haven’t heard back from the engineers, so I assume they’ve stopped the investigation.

We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. Please rest assured that our team is still actively working on this issue.

Following the remote diagnostic session, our engineers have confirmed a compatibility issue between TOS 6 and macOS SMB services. We are currently in the "internal testing and fixing" phase. The fix is being developed and will be included in an upcoming software update.

Thank you for your valuable feedback, and we truly appreciate your continued patience and support while we resolve this technical challenge.

That’s good to hear.
If your teams confirms that this issue only affects TOS 6, then a fix or patch isn’t necessary for me.
I’ll wait for TOS 7.
(If you need someone to test it, I’d be happy to help.)
