alexivanov wrote: 03 Feb 2026, 20:37 Good afternoon. Installed TOS 7.0.0299 on F8 SSD Plus using this link viewtopic.php?t=9437 .
The system was installed without errors. After installation, the system asked to upgrade to the latest version. Go to TOS > Control Panel > General Settings > System > Update, and click "Check for updates." The status says "Couldn't check for updates. The TNAS device is not connected to the Internet." The Internet is available on the device. Tell me how to fix this or where to download the latest version of TOS 7.0.0403 Beta (X86) to update manually.
I have sent it to you via private message. Please use it with the client software versions mentioned above.
Additionally, please do not distribute this update package to users who did not participate in the TOS7 Beta test, to prevent misuse on incorrect versions by someone.

I'm attempting to update my machine but I receive Update check failed. Please check your network connection and try again.

I'm currently on 7.0.0375.

You can manually upgrade by downloading the upgrade package, which I have sent to you via private message. In addition, please do not distribute this update package to users who did not participate in the TOS7 Beta test, to prevent it from being used on incompatible versions.

Testing will continue.

F4-424 Pro initial update did not work. Screen shot attached:

Unit is pingable, but putty will not connect.
Will have to force power off unit and then back on.
Regarding the issue of hibernation settings being reset after updating the TOS system, it will be addressed in versions after TOS 7.0.408.

F2-425 Plus upgraded from 0398 to 0403. An update notification remained on the App Center icon after I'd updated all the apps but logging off then on again cleared this.

This may be related to browser cache. You just need to confirm the application version.

Hi. I did not find an article on the forum on how to return the old version of TOS 6. Maybe you can tell me or send me a link. So that I can get TOS 6 back. I have an F8 SSD Plus model. After updating to TOS 7, the device does not work at all and freezes. I can't even test it. The system is beautiful, but it's still very raw.

F4-424. The system update was successful. The new version still has an issue with accessing the shared folder via the TNAS Mobile 3.5.0.44 mobile app ("The user does not have sufficient rights to perform this operation." Logged in as a user with superuser rights. This user has read and write permissions on the NAS). I've tried all the access permissions options. Could you tell me what to check? (Access was lost when upgrading to TOS 7.)

I see the same thing.
I guess that as you (and I) are on the latest update it is merely giving an erroneous message. "Check failed" == "There is no later version!"
Or, there is a server error, again :?:

PS: Just checked a TOS6 system and that also shows "Update check failed" in an error dialogue.
