I will try cleaning the terminals as suggested and see if that makes a difference. The drives are also not recognized by my PC or Mac when plugging in with a SATA USB converter. Maybe bad contact(s) between drives and backplane. You could try removing all the hdd and (if possible & able) clean the connectors. Re-insert one drive and test again. (change drives with system off.)
Do you know if the 3.3V power disable pin needs to be masked off? I would assume that since the drive is listed on TerraMaster’s compatibility list then that should not be necessary. I would figure they are following the latest SATA standards.
