Steps for accessing and disabling in Bios please...TMroy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 00:34 For 221 series, the hpet option is set as enabled by default in BIOS, As a result, a large number of invalid requests are generated, which occupy system resources, and the speed of SMB is affected. We have stopped requesting hpet in the latest TOS version, and we have verified that the countermeasure is effective. As for your case, we need further verification.
You can try to change the hpet option to disable in BIOS.

Installed fine and everything looks OK on my F5-221.
Re: TOS 5.1.67 (X86) is Released for Update
Dear Terramaster Team, I'm tired of playing the beta tester. I want a working NAS for my purposes. It can't be that the system doesn't work and I always have to change something myself. I paid for the NAS and it doesn't work properly. So, what do I have to do to make it finally work?

Strange you should say that. Just before .67 was released, I checked the bios for exactly that. Unfortunately I could not find it. Maybe your engineers in the back room are giving you bad info.

Re: TOS 5.1.67 (X86) is Released for Update
It may be that the boot partition made an error during the update, which caused individual files in the boot partition to fail to be replaced. Maybe you can try to update again or use the installation package of TOS 5.1.67
(Installation package md5: 246b7849085b05ece5d32e3363810735)
You can also try modifying the settings in the BIOS (Some BIOS versions hide this option):
1. Use an HDMI cable to connect a monitor to TNAS, and connect a keyboard to the USB port;
2. Press the power button, and press the "Esc" key repeatedly during startup;
3. After entering the BIOS, find "South Cluster Configuration" in "chipset", and press "Enter". 4. Then select "Miscellaneous Configuration" and press "Enter" again. 5. Find the "High Precision Timer" option, press the "Enter" key to select, and use the up and down keys to switch to the disabled state. 6. Press F4 to save, and then reboot.
Note: For the operation method, please refer to the instructions in the lower right corner of the BIOS interface

My Bios:
MAPL0304V22 03/21/2022
Does not have that option.
{Very limited options under South Bridge. FYI I did notice the OS type is set for "Windows", rather than the logical "Intel Linux".}

But I did confirm that, although HPET is available, JSC is actually in use. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4928&p=29267#p29267

Updated from 5.1.41 (fresh install), 8gb system partition, and now on the first boot since the update, I have a blank screen again with the message "Loading... please wait!".
Terramaster... you can't always keep us the same with each update... WE ARE NOT BETA-TESTERS!
It is a shame

It was configuring your new system, updating system files, or mounting your storage pools. When you prompt a message to wait, please just wait!
