Good morning, I just order a F2-424. How I can use M.2 SSD as system Disk? Is better to have (2) M.2 or only one? I have few days in order to study a good configuration of my new F2-424.
Thanks

Just i.m.o - if you are going to make use of system "home" folders for users and/or make a lot of use of 'apps', I would use 2 nvme for redundancy. Install Pool1 and Volume1 on the nvme (default, don't try and get fancy) either as Traid pair or Raid1 (your preference). 'Home' folders and Apps are installed on Volume1 by default.
Then add subsequent hdd as Pool2,....n and Volume2,...n. I don't have many users or apps on my similar device and 500GB Traid for system disk/Pool1/Volume1 is quite sufficient. (YMMV).

Regarding using an M.2 SSD as the system drive
:During the TOS installation process, you can directly select the installed M.2 SSD as the system drive on the disk selection screen and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Regarding "how many M.2 SSDs to install for best results":
This mainly depends on your actual usage needs (e.g., whether you need additional cache, storage expansion or performance improvement). We recommend referring to other users' configuration experiences and feedback on the TerraMaster official forum to make an appropriate choice based on your own scenario.
