If the data is important, consider contacting a data recovery company for recovery.
In theory, data can be recovered if it is deleted by mistake, as long as you do not format your hard drive or write too much data after that.

For those who want to attempt data recovery themselves, small learning curve, you can search for "Linux Undelete", and familiarise yourself with those tools. Some NAS can be accessed via SSH, and all the power of Linux commands are then available to you. Good Luck!
