So you guys recommend using the ext4 file system for your NAS boxes instead of the btrfs. I thought the btrfs was recommended for stability and snapshot backups? Can you please explain this more? Also should I then downgrade my TOS from 4.10 to 4.09 in order to see speed improvements? That seems kind of backwards. Are the improvements not already built in to the 4.10 beta?

Hi,
ext4 and btrfs have their own merits, and the TOS transmission speed of 4.2.10Beta version is no problem (any problem?).

There is no way for me to switch to the ext4 file system from btrfs for my RAID5 is there without losing all of my current data?

idk but my speed even slower now. sub 11mb. i used to get 100mb on a gb netowrk. then a week or 2 ago it went to 11mb and now sub 11mb.
idk what to do to fix this issue. i follow and all check list to narrow it down. it seems to be a os issue with tnas.

Hi,
1.Where are you transferring files to TNAS?
2. What is the TOS version and device model?
3. Do you check Control Panel》 LAN displays 1000MB/s?

Maybe you would take a look at tools like Carbonite or Gs Richcopy 360, both have high performance, simple, and very quick copying to NAS.
Also, you will have the advantage to control the bandwidth while copying to NAS, try the trial versions first to ensure that any of both meets the requirements
