Is ext4 raid 1 automatically encrypted?

Post by titanrx8 »

F2-221
TOS 4.2.09
2 x WD 4tb Red in 1 volume raid 1

When I set up the raid and when I created the shared folders, I did not specify encryption.

When I tried to set up a Win10 PC for file backup using Microsoft's incremental file saves to an already mapped folder, I got an error saying that the destination is an encrypted, non-ntfs folder and cannot be used.

Originally, my raid 1 used BTRFS and I was using the Microsoft file backup without issue.

Is ext4 automatically encrypted. How to get this working again?

Hi,
Can you take a screenshot to see what it is (Microsoft's incremental file )?
We need to verify it and you can temporarily use other backups.

I will see if I can get a screenshot next time I have access to that PC.
