Hi TMzethar,
Thank you for your feedback. I understand your point about accessing Transmission via the web interface, and I agree that it works well across different devices.
However, the community package Transmission4_okm offers additional features that are not available in the standard application. Unfortunately, after upgrading to TOS 7, I am no longer able to install community applications, which prevents me from using this version.
Regards.
Enrico

Re: issue with Transmission4_okm and TOS 7
Hi,
I contacted the developer, who confirmed that the issue is caused by the SPC security feature blocking the functionality. Disabling SPC restores normal operation of the Community Apps.
SPC was already enabled in TOS 6, so after upgrading to TOS 7, the Community Apps no longer work, even when properly granted access to both storage and network resources. This indicates that, unlike in TOS 6, SPC in TOS 7 does not behave as expected.
The developer also says that this is something he had already reported to you.
Is it possible to address this so that Community Apps can function correctly while the advanced security feature remains enabled?
Thank you
Enrico

Re: issue with Transmission4_okm and TOS 7
Thank you for your update.
At this point, I believe there are two possible directions that should be clarified for users.
Either it is explicitly stated that Community Apps on TOS 7 require SPC to be disabled in order to function properly — which, however, would go against the purpose of having an advanced security feature enabled on a NAS system or the underlying issue between SPC and Community Apps needs to be properly addressed, restoring compatibility as it was in TOS 6.
In the current state, the behavior is inconsistent and potentially misleading: even when permissions are correctly configured, SPC still blocks functionality without clear indication to the user.
If Community Apps are no longer intended to be supported under SPC, this should be clearly documented, and possibly reflected in the App Center to avoid confusion. Otherwise, I would strongly encourage prioritizing a fix, as the Community Apps ecosystem represents a significant added value in terms of both quantity and quality.
I look forward to your findings.
Best regards,
Enrico
