[Help] D4-320 fan noise very loud [SOLVED]

Bought the D4-320 from Newegg.ca on June 16, it arrived a day or two later. Anyway the fan sound is ok until three days ago it started to sound loud. I checked everything according to google and nothing is wrong. What can I do now? Thanks. BTW, It is attached to a F4-424.

Thank you for your feedback. Your D4-320 fan is getting louder. Please turn off the power first, open the casing and check if any cables are touching the fan blades. If so, carefully adjust the cable position and secure it with cable ties or tape, keeping it away from the fan. If the cable is normal, please tell me the wattage of your power adapter.

Checked everything you suggested but today it did not happen, only happen once in a while (two times a day), I think it may be caused by replacing a disk in D4-320, the sound was loud during repairing the traid and even after it completed it still sound loud for two days, maybe some software related problem, not hardware.

• TRAID Synchronization: Replacing a disk and repairing the TRAID array puts the hard drives under a continuous high-load state, causing the fan to run at high speed to dissipate heat.

• Scheduled Tasks: The occasional noise spikes (about twice a day) are likely triggered by scheduled tasks (such as daily backups, media indexing, or S.M.A.R.T. scans) that wake up the drives and raise their temperature.

Suggestion: Next time the fan gets loud, we suggest checking the hard drive temperatures in TOS and locating the corresponding service or process.

Thanks, I think it is TOS 7, switched back to TOS 6 and the problem seems to be low and smaller now.

The D4-320 is equipped with a hardware‑level intelligent thermal management system for its cooling fan, which operates independently of the TOS operating system.

The higher temperature you're seeing might be because the HDDs in D4-320 hasn't gone into sleep, so the fan speed is maintained at high speed, as you noted earlier.

Finally found out why, it is not what I said before, it is the WD Purple drive making all the sound, once the D4-320 sleep, no sound. I turned off everything and took the WD Purple to test it on a USB drive storage and the sound is loud when the drive is on.
