If you are not using Slot 3, there is no impact, and you can upgrade directly to TOS 7.
Could you please specify whether this is also the case if one is using Slot 3, just not as a system disk? I have an SSD in Slot 3 but the system disk is on two SSDs in Slots 1 and 2 in RAID1.

My 425 Plus has one of the older BIOS versions (MTWL0101.V05) but in the systems settings I get an update notification for version 7.0.0747. I am currently on version 6.0.794. Can I just go ahead with the update? Sorry, I find this all very confusing.

If the SSD installed in the NVMe 3 slot is not used as a system drive, upgrading to TOS 7 will not be affected in any way.

How is the docker migration? Just making sure that the various dockers won't be all broken after upgrade. I'm also using bonded NICs and have a couple adapters setup for my dockers.

Note: The upgrade should not affect your Docker data in theory. However, for safety reasons, we strongly recommend backing up your important data before performing the upgrade.

After upgrading, you only need to restart Docker Engine / Docker Manager from the App Center.

Your existing Docker containers and configurations should remain intact and will not be lost.

Hi,
I have a F4-425 plus, MTWL0101.V06 firmware.
4 hdd 3,5 for the data,
slot 1 nvme as hypercache,
and slot2 e and slot3 for O.S in raid 1 (mirroring).

Which would be the best way to update? I'm trying to disable the hypercache to let a migration from slot3 to slot 1 of the os.
but it gives error, and I cannot see anymore the hypercache section. It stucks in the page and it doesn't finish to load the page.
Disks seems to be ok, and I see the disk 1 like "usable".

UODATE:
instructions didn't work for me.
Migrated the system disk from 3rd slot to 1.
checked the boor order.
Upgrade messed up still and needed to fabric reset the nas.
Fortunately it recognized at least a couple of Dockers I had Jellyfin worked fully ok, Homeassistant was loaded also, but most of sensors messed up. Backups didn't work and I'm working to rebuild them manually, as the tuyalocal, localtuya, and many more are not loaded correctly.

Still have to check for other things.
It will be a loooong day.
