Re: TerraSync update causing hard drives to operate continuously for days despite all sync tasks being ‘up to date’.
The post update processing completed after 11 & 1/2 hours.
I only have three devices manually backup via TerraSync and not all file/folders.
I will just reboot the NAS (F4-425 Plus) which has TerraSync installed and see what happens. Meaning I have added anything data wise to it's database.

Impressive, after the reboot no disk activity at all related to TerraSync and it's log showed nothing new since update finished.
I'll manually run one backup to it and maybe reboot later or in the AM.
So far so good.

I did the reboot and it's working fine. Just one new entry in the log since the backup introduced just one new file.

Re: TerraSync update causing hard drives to operate continuously for days despite all sync tasks being ‘up to date’.
Based on your latest feedback, it appears that the issue has been resolved for now, so we recommend continuing to monitor the system for a period of time.
To facilitate further analysis if the issue reoccurs, we recommend enabling Debug Mode in TOS Desktop → Technical Support in advance. If you encounter the same situation again, where all TerraSync tasks show "Up to Date" but the disks continue to exhibit sustained activity for an extended period, please try not to restart the NAS immediately. Instead, export the Debug log as soon as possible while the issue is occurring and send it to us.
This will help preserve valuable diagnostic information and allow us to further analyze TerraSync's runtime status as well as identify the source of the disk activity more accurately.
Thank you for your feedback and cooperation. We will continue to monitor this issue and assist with further investigation if needed.

Re: TerraSync update causing hard drives to operate continuously for days despite all sync tasks being ‘up to date’.
Ok, normally I don't reboot any of the devices other than for release updates. Another note, I don't see RAIDx process run for hours on devices with HyperCache active. This being after v706 applied anyway.

Re: TerraSync update causing hard drives to operate continuously for days despite all sync tasks being ‘up to date’.
I updated to the latest version of TerraSync last night and pretty much immediately the hard drive activity stopped and everything seems back to normal.
Thanks for responding so quickly to my issue.

Looks like it's doing disk activity again. I have debug on. The log shows any updates completed about 6hr ago. I honestly don't know when the activity started. I turned on debug after I saw the activity.
