[Help] NAS loses network when large file transfers start

Post by sophia2005 »

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed a strange network issue with my TerraMaster NAS. When I start transferring large files (around 20–50 GB) from my PC to the NAS over a gigabit LAN, the transfer begins normally, but after a few minutes the NAS suddenly becomes unreachable. The transfer stops and I also can’t access the web interface or ping the NAS until the connection comes back after a short time, or after I restart the device.

Has anyone experienced the NAS temporarily dropping off the network during heavy file transfers? I’m trying to figure out whether this is related to network settings, SMB configuration, or possibly the NAS hardware.

Sorry for the inconvenience, as you use F8 SSD Plus with TOS 6 or 7, please go to TOS desktop top dock bar>"Support and Help", enable debug mode, reproduce the issue and when you can manage to acess TOS again, generate debug log and send to technical support email for us to troubleshoot.
To contact our team, please send email to following addresses, remember to replace (at) with @

Technical team: support(at)terra-master.com(for technical support)
