Hi,
I just got my D4-320U, currently running only 2 HDDs. The temperature for both HDDs was reported at an average of 37 deg celsious. However, the D4-320U seemed to be running at full speed, measuring above 55 dB. Is this normal?
Thanks

Re: [Help] D4-320U fans noise level above 50db
Hi,
D4-320U is suitable for office and server room environments.
35 dB(A) is the noise level in standby/sleep mode. Due to its size and structure, D4-320U uses a powerful small fan, and the noise may increase noticeably during high-speed read/write operations.
When the HDD temperature reaches 37 degrees, the fan runs at medium speed.
Did you measure 55dB at a distance of 1 meter from the device?
If you want a quieter device, you can consider the upright model D4-320.
