Then what values i saw before power loss? Because ''smartctl -a diskX'' command worked fineTMjack wrote: ↑09 Feb 2026, 15:17 The D2-320 product allows a computer to properly read the SMART information of the hard drive only in single mode. If it is in any other RAID mode, retrieving the hard drive's SMART information will not be possible. If your device is not currently in single-disk mode, you need to adjust the RAID configuration to "single" mode to enable reading SMART information. However, please note that resetting the RAID mode will result in the deletion of all data on the hard drive. Be sure to back up your data in advance.
SMART data doesn't show up after power loss

Sorry, could you please describe what you mean by the 'values' you mentioned above?
You can try temporarily pointing the knob to 'Single' mode. At this point, you should be able to view the Smart values through the Single mode. (Please do not press Reset, as this will format the HDD and result in data loss.)

Re: SMART data doesn't show up after power loss
Standard stuff - Power On Hours, Power Off Retract Count, Temperature Log, etc. And in which fashion i must temporarily select ''Single''? Just stop any write\read operations, reboot and try to read SMART values? What will happen to data and will i need to rebuild RAID array?TMzethar wrote: ↑09 Feb 2026, 17:38 Sorry, could you please describe what you mean by the 'values' you mentioned above?

Re: SMART data doesn't show up after power loss
After configuring the D2-320 product in RAID0, RAID1, or JBOD mode, a specific issue occurs: when using the Terminal tool built into macOS along with the smartctl command, only the SMART information of the first hard drive in the D2-320 product can be retrieved, while the corresponding information of the second hard drive cannot be read. However, by using third-party professional tools, it is possible to read the complete SMART information of both HDDs inside the D2-320 product. For details, please refer to the following link: viewtopic.php?t=7692
Additionally, it should be noted that if the D2-320 product is set to single mode, then using macOS's built-in Terminal with the smartctl command allows direct access to the SMART information of both HDDs.

Re: SMART data doesn't show up after power loss
I downloaded SMARTreporter and it says, that ''S.M.A.R.T. status check & self-test found 2 disk(s) O.K. and 1 disk(s) not S.M.A.R.T. capable.''. That one disk is RAID array, that i mentioned earlier and when i click ''Advanced options'' and then ''Show attributes'' it, in fact, uses the same terminal control to show them. In case with RAID array, it says, that ''Smartctl open device: disk4 failed: Operation not supported by device''. Information from an internal SSD of a laptop is showing up properly.TMjack wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026, 11:19 After configuring the D2-320 product in RAID0, RAID1, or JBOD mode, a specific issue occurs: when using the Terminal tool built into macOS along with the smartctl command, only the SMART information of the first hard drive in the D2-320 product can be retrieved, while the corresponding information of the second hard drive cannot be read. Re: SMART data doesn't show up after power loss
And main concern is not that i can't view information from both disks (I understood that i will see values from one of the disks), but the fact, that i now can't view SMART values at all, even tho i was able to.TMjack wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026, 11:19 After configuring the D2-320 product in RAID0, RAID1, or JBOD mode, a specific issue occurs: when using the Terminal tool built into macOS along with the smartctl command, only the SMART information of the first hard drive in the D2-320 product can be retrieved, while the corresponding information of the second hard drive cannot be read. Re: SMART data doesn't show up after power loss
I tried that - stopped all read\write operations, ejected folders, didn't reboot and set ''Single'' on the back cover. Then plugged enclosure again. 2 identical folders appeared (But not time machine one). Diskutil list said, that it was 2 new disk under the numbers 6 and 7 (Before it was disk 4). I tried to use smartctl -a command on both disks and failed each time. Terminal showed message about operation being not supported by a device.TMzethar wrote: ↑09 Feb 2026, 17:38 Sorry, could you please describe what you mean by the 'values' you mentioned above?
