Hi team,
I have a small concern about my TerraMaster installation. Basically, I spend a lot of time on new casino sites that are quite resource-intensive, the kind of platforms that run entirely on crypto with extensive game catalogs (more than 7,000 slots). The problem is that in terms of security, their licenses aren't always very clear, and I don't want that to pollute my local network or my files on the NAS. I was thinking of setting up a Docker container or a VM to completely isolate this activity and manage my wallets quietly without it communicating with the rest of my files.
Will my hardware slow down too much if I run this in addition to my usual backups? Has anyone already tried to isolate this kind of slightly gray browsing via TOS?
Question TOS and crypto gaming sites
Re: Question TOS and crypto gaming sites
Hi, thanks for your reply! I think there might have been a little misunderstanding. I’m not dealing with media files or Takeout here. My concern is more about running high-risk browsing sessions, like on new crypto casinos, without affecting my NAS or local network.
For instance, I’ve been exploring platforms like spinogambino that have huge game catalogs and complex scripts. My goal is just to isolate this activity in a Docker container or VM so my wallets and backups stay safe.
Has anyone tried something similar in TOS? I’m curious if the hardware can handle it alongside normal backups, or if it slows down too much.

You can run these servers through a virtual machine. When creating a virtual machine, you can limit the total amount of system resources it uses.
