I've have been using 2 drives in a raid1 for a few weeks now with no issues. I wanted to increase the size with 2 larger drives that I have which I know work. I put them in and they are not being recognized by the d2-320 - the disk lights don't come on at all. I've switched them between single and raid1, held down reset several times with no success.
I put the previous raid set back in the unit and those drives aren't working either!
I'm stuck and it won't recognize the previously working drives.
I purchased this enclosure new from Amazon on Oct 24th - less than a month ago.
How can I proceed? Thank you!

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
What are the model numbers and capacities of the two sets of hard drives you are using?
Now, no matter which set of hard drives is inserted, does the hard drive indicator light not light up?

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
Hi,
I am facing similar issues. I have bought a D2-320 unit and received it yesterday. I want to use it as an additional storage, so I set it up to "single" mode and inserted two disks. The disks were recognized yesterday and I was able to create single partitions, i formatted them and could access the file system.
However, as I turned my computer back on today, both of the disks are unaccessible. They are somehow visible in the file system (using Windows Explorer), but the error I get when I want to open them is "The device is not ready".
As I enter the Disk Management tool, both disks are displayed as "RAW" and i can't perform any operations on them, like disk format or delete partitions.
I also tried to use chkdsk in cmd, but i get the message, that chkdsk is not available for RAW drives.
What can I do to get the disks back online?

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
Please check if there is a [10Gbps+TERRAMASTER] label on the original USB port. If there is no label, it may be a compatibility issue between the device and your computer. If you have other USB cables, you can try replacing the cable for testing. If your computer is a mini PC or NUC, it is recommended to add an active USB extender to enhance the signal.

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
There is an "USB 3.2" label on Terramaster device USB port. I'm using original cable that was attached to the shipment and plugging it to one of the USB-C ports of my computer, which is Dell Latitude 5530. I have also tried different cables and different USB ports, but the result is the same.
I tried to connect the Terramaster device to another computer, but the issue was initially the same, but after few minutes the computer froze until I unplugged the USB-C cable from the computer.

Please check if the RAID pointer was accidentally rotated to another position after you created the Single Disks?

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
Hi again!
I didn't have much time in between, but today i tried to further debug the issue. I attached both disks to my old PC and managed to successfully format them and they worked normally when inserted directly in a PC SATA port.
Then I inserted them back into Terramaster drive. Initially they were recognized and they worked. So I decided to do a test and copy some photos (50 GB) to one of them. I was very unpleasantly surprised that both disks have disconnected DURING the copy process (!) and were not seen in Windows Disk Management Tool anymore. When I turned the Terramaster off and back on, the disks appeared again.
Is there any software available for diagnostic or troubleshooting?
I'm thinking of returning the product as it is no use for me in such a state.

Re: [Help] D2-320 Not recognizing drives, even previously working
Thank you for your thorough testing. Please check again according to these instructions:
1. Ensure sufficient power supply: The D2-320 must use the original external power adapter. Using a third-party power supply or one with insufficient power can easily cause the hard drive to disconnect during large file copying due to a sudden increase in power consumption.
2. Update the Latitude 5530's USB drivers, try to transfer smaller data, observe if it still disconnects and check status of HDD LED, BTW please check HDD compatibility
