My NAS seems to be using the max amount of RAM and not releasing it. When it does this the whole system locks down and I am unable to access anything, webpage included. My only option is to force shutoff with physical power button. This seems to be a new issue as I have had this setup for a while and was running with no issues. Please let me know what can be done to resolve this. I will be happy to provide any logs if needed.
I am running, Jellyfin, Tailscale, and a few -arr docker containers.
[Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
Re: [Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
It is recommended that you try limiting the container's RAM usage to avoid affecting the normal operation of the TOS system itself.

Re: [Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
Please try disabling services like Jellyfin one at a time to see which service might be causing the issue. You can also connect an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard before starting up. When the problem occurs again, you may be able to see something through the HDMI terminal.
Code: Select all
ps -eo pid,ppid,cmd,%mem --sort=-%mem |head -n 50

Re: [Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
I will attempt this steps when I am able to.
However, looking at this forum, its seems that most of the recent reported issues are in similar nature to mine. Surely something has to be wrong in the OS if multiple different systems with different configurations are experiencing this same issue. Is this something that can be updated?

Hello,
After closing this issue recently : viewtopic.php?t=9500
Now, I have every around 48hours this exact same issue: Impossible to join the NAS.
When I check my monitor application (Beszel), i don't see any high CPU or high Memory usage. I think load is 100%...
But it's impossible to monitor as the NAS is unreachable...
I have 2 applications :
Now, I just run :
I saw multiple issue recently about this kind of issue. So please take a look at it !
I bought my F4-424 last Ocotber, I already concider to send it back to Amazon.... It's not normal to have to restart manually a NAS every 2 days... (and it's not good at all for my hard drive also...!)

Re: [Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
Hello,
I'm tryin to find the Terramaster killer...!
I'm actually monitoring and for the moment, I have 2 remaining (maybe 3) suspects : Jellyfin OR qBittorrent OR Gluetun. In fact, I have disable them, and for the moment the NAS is running well.
I will see which one is the problem. In the followin days.
So i have a question for you @jluck676, are you using qBittorrent And/Or Gluetun also ?

Re: [Help] F4-424 is using too many resources
Hello,
I found the killer : Jellyfin.
Unfortunatly, I can't find any relevant logs about it. But the result is simple, NAS unreachable...! CPU is OK, RAM is OK but for an unknown reason, the NAS has a very high load with Jellyfin running throw Docker...
I disable Jellyfin and reinstall the Jellyfin app from community website for the moment.
I'll try again under TOS7 when it will be available in stable version.
