Hyper Cache
Hyper Cache:

Re: TOS 7 Beta Is Available for Testing
One future update request. I run an F4-424 with 2 SSDs mirrored with the TOS installed, and then use the hard drives for my data/shared folders. When I upgraded from TOS 5 to TOS 6, the update moved the OS to one of the hard drives and the only way I could move it back to the SSDs was to remove all the hard drives and reinstall using USB, but then when I reinstalled the hard drives I had to completely rebuild the storage pool to get everything working properly. The same this seems to be happening with TOS 7 - it moved the OS to hard drive #2 and is not using the SSDs at all. In the future, can you try to make the OS install in the same location as the current install to prevent these issues? Thanks.

You might need to rid those HDDs of their residual system partitions from their previous/old TOS installation; that's likely the reason it keeps installing to those & not the SSDs as the TOS 7 update sees those partitions & is installed to them.
Alternatively, you could force the boot order in UEFI/BIOS to first boot from one of the SSDs instead of allowing the default first boot to the internal initboot USB from detecting that HDD system partition, if you are unable to temporarily move your data from these "old" HDDs while you secure erase & then rebuild the structure without a system partition on said HDD(s).

You can adjust the target disk for TOS in Control Panel - Disk - System Disk.

Re: TOS 7 Beta Is Available for Testing
i am on TOS 7. v7.0.0375
and it would be a great thing to be able to move / migrate home folders to Volume2 instead of Volume1
is there anywhere i can do that ???
the function is missing in that version

Re: TOS 7 Beta Is Available for Testing
Hi,
I’m unable to upgrade my TerraMaster F4-425 Plus from TOS 6.0.794 to TOS 7
Setup:
Brand new NAS, no data. Freshly formatted NVMe M.2 (also tried a 2.5" SSD)
BIOS shows only the NVMe as a boot device
What happens:
Boot into TOS 6, Start upgrade to TOS 7 using the official image
Update begins normally. The system unpacks the image and start update. At ~9%, the NAS reboots itself.
After reboot, NAS is unreachable via browser. In TNAS mobile app (latest beta), the device shows as Not initialized
Reinitialization starts from scratch (asking to register the user and email) and always ends up back on TOS 6
Tried:
Multiple upgrade attempts, Different NVMe slots. Tried 2,5" SSD
Same result every time.
Any dvice where to look or what to try?
Thanks.
