[Help] How to create storage space on 2nd Raid?

Post by elsalee »

Hello,
I’ve been a bit stuck trying to figure this out, and I apologize if my explanation isn’t completely clear at first.

I have an F5-221 with a 16TB Storage Pool 2 and a 12TB Storage Pool 1 set up in RAID 0 (two 6TB drives). Whenever I attempt to create or add a new file, I can’t seem to allocate it to the 12TB RAID. My 16TB is nearly full, so I’d like to move my TV shows there and keep the movies separate, but nothing I do seems to allow me to create or move files between the two pools.

Is it correct that I can't add the two 6TB drives to the existing 16TB pool now that it’s almost full?

You need to create a volume using Storage Pool 2, then create a shared folder located on that volume. This way, you can move data into this new folder in File Manager.
